Welcome
Riverside Park Campground is conveniently located on the west side of Route 19 about 2 miles north of Wellsville, New York and 1 1/2 miles south of Scio in southern Allegany County, New York. Look for our sign.
An ox bow in the river's old course has even created an island for your nature walks or hiking pleasure. The campground opens each season with the start of the annual Greater Wellsville Trout Derby in April and closes early to mid October.

Camping
Surrounded by lush hardwood trees the rustic camp area lies on a large point bar next to the river. RV sites have electric, water and sewer hook-ups and are conveniently located just off the driveway to the right. Clean, separate full-size shower and bathroom facilities for men and women are maintained.

Fishing
One of the few bodies of water in the United States to actually flow northward (into Lake Ontario) the scenic Genesee River is about 20 miles from its headwater when it reaches our campground. While native trout and bass abound here, each year the river is stocked for your angling recreation.
Test your skill in finding the best fishing holes which seem to change from season to season along the open patch of field to the tree shaded sand bars. Be sure to register early for next year's Annual Greater Wellsville Trout Derby. Don't let the "big $$ one" get away!
Kayak & Canoe
Campground has a few areas that are easily accessible for kayak & canoe. Planning a paddle? Check the Genesee River Height & Flow Rate before you go (opens in a new window).
Hiking
Additional hiking trails are currently under construction especially on our campground's island. While you're here take pleasure in Nature's abundance of edible plant life (wild onions, blackberries, raspberries, strawberries), explore for fossil rocks, or lay back, watch and listen to the hot air balloons as they slowly drift over your hammock in mid-July.
